Arky - Sorry I did notice your message for all this time until now! Yes, I am a SciFi fan and have read all the classics (Heinlein, Niven, Pournell, etc.). I like hard sci-fi with good science, not really any fantasy, though in the realm of pure fantasy, Tolkien is a favorite but not much else. I have read several of Stirlings books and enjoyed them.
